TOFEL Test
Proving Your English Proficiency: The TOEFL Test
For students aiming for higher education in North America and other top global destinations, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a key requirement. TOEFL is highly respected by universities, particularly in the United States and Canada, as it specifically measures your ability to use and understand English at an academic level.
At Corvia, we understand that a strong TOEFL score can open doors to world-class institutions, and we are here to support you in successfully meeting this requirement.
Prerequisites: Getting Started with the TOEFL Test
1. Official Requirements
Valid Identification: You must have a valid, original identification document, with a passport being the most universally accepted form. The name on your ID must exactly match the name you use for registration.
Test Fee: The full exam fee must be paid to the official testing service (ETS) when you book your test date.
TOEFL is offered in different formats, and selecting the correct one is crucial.
TOEFL iBT® (Internet-based Test): This is the most common and widely accepted version of the test, taken on a computer at a secure, official test center. It assesses your skills in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing.
TOEFL iBT® Home Edition: This is the exact same test as the iBT, but you can take it on your own computer from home. It is monitored by a live, online proctor and is accepted by most universities.
TOEFL® PBT (Paper-based Test): This version is only offered in locations where the internet-based test is not available.
